Axis was selected by Cobb County Government to provide architectural, MEP, Civil, Roofing, and Structural design services needed for various County projects. Services provided under this on-call contract include, but are not limited to, engineering studies, pre-design and pre-construction activities, detailed design services, project management, contract administration, contract management and other related services.

Axis prepared construction documents for the repair of heavily eroded stream banks at Sewell Mill Creek at East Cobb Park and Fuller Park.

Services included:

• Field inspection of the stream bank and culverts
• Delineated the area of repair
• Coordinated with geotechnical engineers to conduct soils testing
• Prepared site plans, typical sections and details of the stream repair
• Provided details on stream diversion
• Provided onsite construction inspection and project closeout, including but not limited to shop drawing review, 7-day erosion letters and onsite meetings.
